For those of us who have taught school, especially high school, the picture in the news of the 3 students gives us hope that not all high school students are self-centered and myopic. A story about a caregiver who stays with their loved one until the end of their life, who fulfills their vow to their loved one, who keeps them clean and as content as possible also shouldn't be newsworthy, perhaps. Yet it is. It is reason to celebrate. And today we all need reason to celebrate.
