There are so many things out there reminding caregivers to take care of themselves, as if we haven’t heard it before. As if we are choosing not to take time for ourselves. The things keeping us from self care are usually a lot more complicated than us simply forgetting.
Some caregivers might benefit from being reminded — and given permission — to take care of themselves.
Many of you, though, are the ultimate self care experts. The things you do to take care of yourselves are done under the most challenging circumstances, yet you still manage to make it happen.

Maybe that’s putting whipped cream in your coffee. Maybe it’s the way your dog looks at you. Maybe its swapping daily memes with your BFF.
