If only caregiving was this cute...
Typically it's not. It's a demanding, stressful, challenging role. But don't worry-- we've got your back.
We are a community of caregivers who understand; we're a space just for you. We create. We share. We listen. And that makes caregiving a whole lot fuzzier.
Please, help keep our community space alive and free for caregivers like you by clicking here to donate $1+. Every penny helps. Every caregiver matters.
The Accidental Caregiver's Survival Guide Lifts the Heavy Weight of Caregiving
“If you’re feeling stifled—like you can’t breathe under the heavy weight of medical crises, family conflict, or fear, you have made a wise choice to read this book.”
We suggest you read one chapter a day– let go of that heavy weight, one step at a time.
1. Exercise to relax. Escape to your exercise routine for 45 minutes of no phone, no kids, no boss and no problems. In time, your body also will better be able to adapt to stress.
2. The human body generally needs 4-6 weeks to respond positively to exercise. It’s important to work AT YOUR OWN PACE, not others.
3. Warm-up before stretching. Contrary to popular belief, one shouldn’t stretch before warming up or exercising. First, you need to warm up for 6-10 minutes, then stretch, then workout.
