Congratulations on making it this far
You've almost made another full revolution around the sun.
The New Year is a little arbitrary, so I try to not take it too seriously, although I'm happy to take any opportunity to celebrate.
Before you worry about what you can improve in 2020, take a moment to recognize all that you accomplished in 2019. I like Jen Doll's list from last year. You do a lot already. You don't need to be continually optimizing; it's okay to be who you are right now.
If you're feeling called to take the opportunity to make some changes, Catherine Andrews shared some great suggestions for how to choose something that will matter and work for you. (Yes, this is a nesting doll of newsletters, as I link to an archived edition of the Sunday Soother).
Last year my resolution was to embrace being uncool and I feel pretty good about it.
PS. If you're getting barraged with information on how to optimize your life and live your best life, here's your reminder that sometimes your best life is lived curled up on the couch or enjoying whatever else is considered "non-productive." Or, as Beth Evans puts it:
