Day in, day out
Caregiving often involves either monotonous, grueling routines that go on for decades or torturous swings between extreme highs and lows.
It’s the contrasts that make us savor the sweetness of a good day, but it’s hard to do that when your life is so extreme or flat. It makes it a lot harder to savor a special meal or a spectacular sunset.
