We're here for you - online, 24/7
Hi ,
Articles about caregiving in the mainstream media are becoming increasingly common. Identifying as a caregiver doesn't feel right to everyone who provides care, but it is an important step to getting access to support. Sara-Louise shared how she's come to identify as a caregiver and talk about it. Harriet brought up another important topic - coping with compassion fatigue.
As always, there's been a lot going on at The Caregiver Space this week:
Tyler talked about learning to be a caregiver as she was doing it.
Temi shared how she and her daughter grieved differently.
Donna opened up about her fears as an aging caregiver.
Bob talked about the intensity of grief.
Nicole talked about getting through tough times.
Art talked about dealing with delirium.
We met Carmen and Carvilla.
Allison shared how she found time to date (and found a husband).
We all talked about what it's like to have family members that don't share caregiving responsibilities.
Transportation is a major issue for many of us. We have guides to accessible transportation options in the US, Canada, and the UK.
Share your pesky problems and awesome solutions on the forums. Need to vent? We're here to listen.
Have a great weekend,
PS. If you're in the US - Happy 4th of July! And if you're in Canada - Happy Canada Day!
Honest, direct conversations are important.
